'The Complete History of The Amityville Horror' is an account of 'The Amityville Horror' franchise written by bestselling English author and 2018 Hall of Horror inductee Bryn Curt James Hammond (who also authored 'A Case for Murder: Brittany Murphy Files').

 

When 'The Amityville Horror' premiered in 1979 the film introduced cinema-goers to an all-new kind of haunted house movie spawning nine Amityville sequels as of 2019. 'The Complete History of The Amityville Horror' is the first book to chronicle the making of all nine feature films, with new interviews from the series cast and crew and takes an in-depth look at the film's source material by Jay Anson, which began life as a book in 1977, later to continue in the capable hands of John G. Jones, with 'The Amityville Horror Part II' in 1982, 'Amityville: The Final Chapter', 'Amityville: The Evil Escapes' and 'Amityville: The Horror Returns' in 1989. In 1991, Robin Karl took over and penned 'Amityville: The Nightmare Continues'.
